How Homedics 5x Warranty Registration with Brij
ABOUT HOMEDICS
Homedics is a leading personal wellness brand known for creating innovative health and home products, including diffusers, humidifiers, and relaxation devices. With a diverse product lineup spanning over 70 SKUs, Homedics is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of its customers through high-quality, easy-to-use solutions designed to improve everyday life.
THE CHALLENGE
Homedics faced several challenges with product registration and the accompanied customer experience:
- Only 1,000 out of 15,000 scans for their waterless diffuser converted into registrations, despite sales of 95,000 units at Costco.
- The only opportunity to capture the consumer's email was through an exit-intent pop-up from Attentive, which appeared as they left the landing page. This approach wasn’t ideal for capturing email sign-ups or warranty registrations
- Homedics needed a unified, scalable system to handle various product registrations seamlessly across multiple SKUs and warranty types (1 year, 2 year, 90-day).
- Incentives like subscribe-and-save refills were promoted via inserts but were incorrectly timed as consumers received refills bundled with their original purchase.
Homedics required a new platform to:
- Simplify warranty registration for customers.
- Capture email and receipt data efficiently.
- Manage warranty types across their entire product portfolio without technical hurdles.
- Improve operational efficiency while driving app downloads and capturing more first-party data.
THE BRIJ SOLUTION
Homedics partnered with Brij to redesign its product registration process through a frictionless consumer experience distributed via a QR code on product quick-start guides.
This streamlined experience directed customers seamlessly to product-specific registration pages, minimizing confusion and enhancing ease of use. Brij’s flow was designed to capture customer emails first, then prompt users to download the Homedics app, creating a smooth and efficient journey.
To handle Homedics’ diverse product catalog, Brij deployed a no-code solution that required minimal setup, allowing Homedics to launch quickly even without access to all assets upfront.
Additionally, Brij’s platform was configured to accommodate Homedics’ multiple warranty types, enabling a unified and scalable registration system across their entire product lineup. By strategically placing optimized QR codes in product quick start guides, Brij made it simple for Homedics to gather customer data, including receipt information, to drive future upsell opportunities.
THE RESULTS
In just six weeks post-launch, Brij’s solution delivered outstanding results for Homedics:
- 2,400 registrations were captured—exceeding the total registrations from the previous twelve months.
- Boosted scan-to-registration conversion rate from around 6% to 34%, achieving an impressive 415% increase overall.
- Over 24,000 scans/clicks were recorded across all campaigns, yielding 7,000 warranty registrations across product categories.
- Receipt data gathered via Brij’s AI-powered analytics uncovered valuable customer shopping behaviors and purchase patterns, allowing Homedics to fine-tune their marketing strategy for better-targeted campaigns.
- Brij’s automation improved operational efficiency by handling all registration and data collection seamlessly, freeing up Homedics’ team to focus on higher-level priorities.
“The second-generation model (ARMH-972) launched in Costco stores this year after the Labor Day holiday. In the first six weeks since launching with Brij, the QR code to the Brij experience has already captured 2,400 registrations—with receipt capture but no promotional offer.” - Ema Ode, Global Head of eCommerce
WHAT'S NEXT
Homedics is planning to further leverage Brij’s platform to:
- Direct 70+ SKUs through a unified warranty experience.
- Expand digital experiences and optimize future product launches with Brij’s first-party data collection tools.
- Incorporate additional product-specific flows and warranty types to simplify consumer engagement across their product range.
With the success of their revamped warranty process, Homedics is also exploring ways to integrate dynamic QR codes into future packaging and promotional materials to drive more app downloads and post-purchase engagement.
