THE CHALLENGE
Before partnering with Brij, Quip’s warranty registration experience was cumbersome and inefficient. Customers were required to manually enter a code printed on an insert included in the packaging, which led to a frustrating user experience and lower registration rates. Serialized Codes Complexity
Each Quip product was tied to a unique, serialized QR code and a unique discount code. These codes required one-to-one validation to prevent misuse and ensure accuracy.
Shopify Limitations
Quip initially tried to implement serialized codes through Shopify but found its discount functionality too rigid for the brand’s needs. Shopify’s system couldn’t handle item-specific serialized codes without significant custom development.

Brij built a tailored coupon hub where customers could select the product they purchased and activate their warranty. The process began with a scan of the unique QR code on their registration card, seamlessly routing them to a product-specific experience.
Immediate Upsells
Customers were incentivized to make an additional purchase immediately after registration with discounts such as:
- $15 off a toothbrush, flosser, or floss
- $10 off a multi-pack brush head refill
- $5 off a single-pack brush head refill
For customers who weren’t ready to buy immediately, Brij captured their email during registration. This allowed Quip to send post-purchase upsell emails later, timed to when customers were more likely to be ready for their next purchase.
First-Party Data Collection
During the registration process, customers provided their email, transforming them from unknown retail buyers into identifiable members of Quip’s DTC audience. This data flowed directly into Quip’s CRM, enabling future engagement.
App and Rewards Program Integration
Customers were prompted to sign up for Quip’s rewards program and download their iOS app, creating additional touchpoints to foster loyalty and repeat purchases.
THE RESULTS
Since launching the Brij-powered warranty registration and upsell system in December, Quip has achieved remarkable results in a matter of days:

WHAT'S NEXT
With the early state of Brij’s engagement now complete, Quip intends to refine their registration process by:
